The protagonist of an unnamed horror story. A botanical researcher who arrives late to a argicultural research site finds the place abandoned, and the farmland surrounding the area full of holes. Investigating causes her to be consumed by the very ground itself, pulled deep underground by large vines. Before long, she loses consciousness... Only to wake up, alive, but changed. Her body was now malleable, and she was capable of telepathically controlling the vines that had previously accosted her. She also gained the ability to see a mysterious blue ghost girl by the name of Sola Nancy. She learns from this ghost girl that she has been implanted with a dislodged fragment of the elder god that has begun to stir underneath the farmland, and it's now up to Merida to reunite the fragment before it embeds itself into her body permamently, turning her into the physical vessel for this fragment.

a deuteragonist of an unnamed horror story. A ghost of a woman who died many years ago in the same area, in a case very similar to Merida Redwood's. Seeking to help her out, Sola Nancy provides information, call-outs, and the occasional ghostly assistance as Merida navigates the small farm town, and the depths of the elder god's impossibly massive, labyrinthian body. A bit macabre, and doesn't tend to take anything seriously, especially when it comes to life or death situations. After all, she's already dead!

The protagonist of an unnamed superhero story. Patricia Ali was a regular woman. albeit a rather scatterbrained one. She works as a janitor, and while she dreams big, she knows she isn't in a position to rise beyond where she is now. One day however, she comes across a star-shaped bauble. When it attaches to her body, she discovers it can transform her into an invulnerable superhero, immune to all forms of damage on her body, and even has the ability to apply this power to things she can touch. After putting a stop to a robbery using her powers, she dubs herself "Peacenik", and quickly catches the eye of the Societal Upkeep Association, a national registry and assembly of superpowered heroes, which provides her with the chance to help more people, and give her life some fulfillment.

The superpowered partner of Patricia, Delilah Gossman is a serious and high strung woman. Once serving as a henchman to a villain known as "Doctor Onemeister" before turning face and joining the Societal Upkeep Association. She has a genius intellect, and the unique superpower to cancel out the abilities of others. In combination with the technology she developed under Onemeister, Delilah dons the persona of "Degausser", capable of neutralizing and dealing with the abilities of any villains that cause a problem to the SUA. She's assigned to be Patricia's advisor, and finds her abilities to be a nice match, a physical powerhouse to backup her own mental aptitude.
